We are so lucky that we have such talented friends who are going to make our wedding extra special.
We met our wedding photographers Will and Alyssa Paro at a Jewish Community Center event and they own their own business. We’re more than happy to have them take our pictures for the wedding because they have really great style!
Check out their website: www.vivalaveritas.com
Here are some pictures that aren’t theirs, but I’ve found online that I want to replicate for our wedding:
The picture on the stairs is actually our friend Devon from here wedding – I LOVE that picture and am so jealous. I hope ours turn out that great!
Inspired: Wedding Programs September 16, 2009

While trolling etsy.com I found these adorable wedding programs. I’m thinking of rolling with the idea of the different big patterns on front, tied with a ribbon. I love them!
p.s. So far, PIE is winning the wedding dessert poll below – VOTE!
Mmm… mmm… good! September 13, 2009

We had our final tasting for our wedding catering on Wednesday and it was GOOD!
We had a salad with greens, mozzarella, tomatoes, and black olives and it was really yummy! The rolls are delicious, which is kind of silly because they’re just rolls, but be sure to get one at the wedding – they are great!
The main course is vegetarian lasagna and chicken penne alfredo. The
penne alfredo was really good… lots of flavor and we asked for extra garlic! hehe. I’ll probably be eating that at the wedding because I’m a little terrified to eat lasagna in my white dress… it was so good I may have to find a bib, though.
Ben and I are still talking about what we want to do for dessert. Neither of us are big cake fans so we’ve been throwing around the idea of getting pies or cheesecakes.
What do you think? Would you be disappointed to go to a wedding without a traditional wedding cake?
Sneak Peak: Invitation Designs August 23, 2009

I worked all day today and the invitation designs are starting to come together! Here’s a sneak peak of my PhotoShop window right now.

As you can see, I’ve got a lot to work on! Formal invite, RSVP cards, return address labels, Reception cards and more. Hopefully I’ll have them done in the next few weeks so we can send them off to be printed.
I have to find a cheap way to get exactly what I want from a printer since one of the first things I decided when planning the wedding was that I would design my own invites. I have a degree in this – I might as well use it! And they are anything but ordinary, just like Ben and me.
I was going for a fun, bold, modern, casual chic which is kind of my inspiration for everything in the wedding. I love black and white and the pops of yellow really make it unique. Ben and I are not fancy, black tie, kind of people so it suits us well.

Be sure to bookmark the page or add us to your RSS feed to get updates on planning for the big day just 147 days from now.
Right now we are working on getting a lot of big things finalized like booking the DJ, picking a rehearsal dinner menu, designing invitations, and more. The dress is ordered, the wedding colors are chosen (black, white and yellow if you hadn’t guessed from the blog colors), and the locations are booked.
I cannot even express how excited I am to be so close, yet so far away from our wedding day! Ben and I are going to a wedding this next weekend and it will be my first time seeing a Jewish ceremony. I can’t wait – it will give me so many great ideas for what we will be doing in just a couple months.
Feel free to browse our blog and let me know if there’s anything you want to know that isn’t here, or just leave a comment to let us know you’re thinking of us!
Have a great day and see you in January!

Registering for gifts… July 2, 2009

Ben and I are starting our registry soon and would love some advice on where and what to register for!
We already have most appliances, cookware, etc since we’ve both been living on our own for the past 5 years. We don’t have a ton of space either so china (which we’ll never use) and other things like cake plates and punch bowls are kind of out.
What we really need is some new furniture but I really doubt anyone will buy us a couch!
Feel free to comment – we need ideas!
