Another reason I love the internet… November 6, 2008

Traditionally, Jews do not have weddings on Shabbat (which last from Friday night at sunset until Saturday night at sunset). This is considered a holy day and you are supposed to rest and not work, which includes all the stress and planning associated with a wedding. Because of this, Ben and I have decided to have a Saturday night wedding, after sunset.

In searching online today, I found something really cool. On www.weather.com, they have a Wedding Planner which allows you to type in your wedding date and find out when the sun will set on your special day.  This is just BRILLIANT, thank you Weather.com!!  Try it for yourself here.

Looks like we can have our wedding sooner than we thought now that we’ve moved to January!

This is really nice! We can have an earlier wedding and still plan on a dinner afterwards!

Wow! That time sure is much better than when Marc & I were married (May 30)! Sunset was at 8:37 PM—-Rabbi gave us 7 minutes dispensation and we got married at 8:30!!! Dinner afterwards was major appetizers as our guests most certainly ate before they came!!!

Looking forward to “hearing” more!! You’re doing great!
